The Author

The author has supported Macclesfield Town since 1988, and over much of this time has kept detail statistics and records on the club which have been used in response to media and other enquiries.  He has also contributed to the club’s programme, written articles for the club’s web site and until publication ceased, contributed Macclesfield’s entries for the annual publication The PFA Footballers’ Who’s Who, and is a Life Vice President of the club.  More recently he has been responsible for the club’s archive web site www.silkmenarchives.org.uk which brings together in one place detailed information relating to match statistics, player profiles and achievements. Information is being built up gradually, working from the present day backwards.
